I studied Scientific and Technical Photography at the Berkshire College of Art and Design.
I was employed by Oxford University in the Department of Materials, for 42 years where I managed the busy photographic department, providing a comprehensive photographic service to approximately 250 lecturers, researchers and D.Phil students.
Long holidays allowed me to travel extensively in Europe, Western Canada and Africa. I sketched and took many photographs during those trips and since retirement I am now reliving those holidays through my painting, mainly in oils.
I favour landscapes with forests and trees although buildings and street scenes also fascinate me.
