Oxfordshire-based artist, Adam Childs has been honing his skills in human portraiture for the past 18 months. Originally freelancing in animation, graphic design, and facilitating youth workshops, Adam is now focusing on creating and sharing his artwork made during the pandemic.
Heavily inspired by family and Sky Arts Portrait Artist of Year weekly live Facebook challenges last year, Adam discovered a natural talent for painting portraits, and through experimentation of using ink and trying out various different art methods, Adam fell in love with the style of pointillism; the technique of neo-impressionist painting in tiny dots.
While ink is Adam’s choice of medium, he also enjoys painting in watercolours and acrylics. As well as portraits, Adam delights in painting animals, landscapes, cartoon illustrations, and abstract works. When working on a personal piece of art or with a client, Adam relishes the challenge of completing a project that satisfies all parties.
